Car Park
Competitors may use the main car park. Cars must not be parked on Golf Road. An overflow car park will be in operation if required. Please obey the instructions of the car park attendant. The Scottish Golf Union and Blairgowrie Golf Club cannot accept any responsibility for damage to cars.

Catering
Coffee, tea and breakfast rolls will be available 30 minutes before the first tee time. Bar snacks and full meals will be available throughout the day until the last game leaves the course and has had reasonable time to order. All catering is at competitors own expense.

Clubhouse
The clubhouse will be open at 6.00am each day. Competitors, their families and guests are permitted the use of the clubhouse facilities but the dress regulations apply to all i.e. Casual wear is acceptable but must be smart. The wearing of t-shirts, vests, football and rugby shirts and shorts, track and shell suits, blue denim jeans and trainers are prohibited.

Golf clubs must not be carried through the clubhouse – there is a bag drop area at the front door of the clubhouse which will be in operation.

MOBILE PHONES ARE PROHIBITED IN THE VICINITY OF THE CLUBHOUSE AND COURSE.

Changing facilities are available in the Gents Locker Rooms. Coin operated lockers, showers and towels are available but towels must remain in the Changing Rooms.

Golf shoes are prohibited in the lounge or dining room.

Yardage Books and Trollies
Yardage books are available for purchase and caddie cars are available for hire on a first come first serve basis from the Professional’s Shop. Caddie cars must be returned to the distribution/collection point on completion of use.

Course and Play
Competitors will play one round on Friday 27 May and one round on Saturday 28 May. The top 40 qualifiers and those tying on 40th place will play two rounds on Sunday 29 May. The draw for Sunday will be made as soon as possible after close of play on Saturday.

THE WEARING OF JEANS, DENIM TROUSERS, SHORTS, SLEEVELESS OR COLLARLESS SHIRTS, SHELL SUITS AND TRAINING SHOES IS NOT PERMITTED ON COURSE. Shorts are permitted if tailored.

Competitors must report to the Championship Office at least 30 minutes prior to their starting time. Starting times are shown in the official draw sheet. Each competitor will be issued with a copy of the local rules, pin positions and pace of play guidelines when registering at the Championship Office.

COMPETITORS MUST REPORT TO THE OFFICIAL STARTER AT THE FIRST TEE 5 MINUTES BEFORE THEY ARE DUE TO PLAY. Competitors are reminded that late arrival at the first tee will result in disqualification as no provision is made under Rule 6-3.

Insurance
Your entry fee includes cover in respect of legal liability in the event of them causing injury to another person or damage to a third party property. An excess of £15 will apply.

Practice
Blairgowrie Golf Club have kindly granted courtesy of the course for one practice round on Thursday 26 May or at an alternative time at the discretion of the Club. The practice times on Thursday 26 May will be available between 8.00am & 4.00pm but must be booked in advance by telephoning the Club on 01250 872622 (Option 2).

Additional practice rounds will be charged at the discounted rate of £30 (normally £50).

General Practice Conditions for Thursday 26 May
Competitors must report to the Clubhouse Reception Desk prior to starting their practice round.

Competitors may play from the Championship Tees.

Other than in accordance with the Rules of Golf, a competitor in a practice round must not have more than one ball in play - exception - if a player misses the green with his shot to the green he may play one additional shot.

Practice Facilities
A full practice ground is available at Carsie, which involves a 5 - 10 drive from the clubhouse i.e. From the golf club return to Golf Road and turn left. When you reach the main road turn left. Carsie is approximately ¼ mile on the left hand side.

A courtesy mini bus service will operate between the Clubhouse and Practice Ground.

NB. In view of the short distance involved from the Practice Ground and Clubhouse it is each players responsibility to ensure they allow enough time.

Practice balls at Carsie will be available free of charge.

PRACTICE BALLS MUST NOT BE REMOVED FROM THE RANGE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. ANY PLAYER FOUND GUILTY OF THIS ACTION WILL BE LIABLE TO DISCIPLINARY ACTION BY THE CHAMPIONSHIP COMMITTEE.

Practice Ground opening and closing times are as follows:

There is a short game area and practice putting green available in the vicinity of the Clubhouse. Chipping is prohibited onto the practice putting green. Players using the short game practice area must use the Club’s practice balls (£1 per basket). Tokens are available from the Professional’s Shop and Clubhouse Reception Desk.

The club practice ground is reserved exclusively for Blairgowrie GC members during the Championship.

Presentation
The Championship trophy and medals will be presented at the close of play on Sunday 29 May. All medal winners are expected to be present.

Rankings
The Scottish Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship is an R&A World Amateur Golf Ranking event and for Scottish players counts toward the SGU Order of Merit.

Responsibility
Blairgowrie Golf Club and the Scottish Golf Union cannot accept responsibility for players’ property.
